Goalkeeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): The Hammers were close to being trailing by six at Bournemouth if it wasn't for him. Key display, rose to the occasion and showed some quality. Some top goalkeeping to secure a 2-2 draw. A loss might have ruined their campaign.

Defenders

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's up there for top performer. Many discuss Gunners' stars. He has been the best performer by a country mile.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): One would need to be a wild optimist to say 'He scores and we'll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You'd have got huge prices on that. He was excellent. He's becoming a powerhouse. He can really be a handful. Delighted to watch him perform as he did previously.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I watched him a few times last year in Italy for AC Milan and he was getting killled from his faults. But at Newcastle he's been a monster. He's been immense power and imposing and looks elegant. It appears he's found a spiritual home.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not naturally a defender, more of a modern type offensively. He is a wonderful signing for Brighton. Who would be surprised at them unearthing more talent unexpectedly? It seemed after selling Pervis Estupinan it raised eyebrows but Brighton know better than most.

Central players

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Two of the same type and they are selected for the shared purpose. Their clubs triumphed, everyone will talk the scorers, but absent these individuals those teams don't click. They are so good. They disrupt opposition, they join the offense.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The standout performer. Many Arsenal fans, like my child, were questioning whether he was the man to lead them to success. Three goals in the local rivalry and supporters now wish to erect a monument of him. Goals, composure, he dominated. The top performer on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Perhaps this represents point of agreement with Thomas Tuchel on - he is at a point now where it is very difficult to drop Morgan Rogers. My view was he had a great start the term, I think he seemed somewhat presumptuous and thought he maybe have got a move to Chelsea, and probably wanted that, but he seems to have adapted well. A brilliant brace obviously against Leeds pulled his side when trailing. He proved decisive.

Strikers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I mentioned he seemed lacking his typical form. He looked like his pace had gone. However, incredible. Words fail me. He was excellent. Brilliant in his play and in his dual goals.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He performs strongly, typically sharper as a substitute, but due to Gordon's absence so he must start. He missed a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. But to have the psychological strength to enter into tough scenarios and net two was remarkable.

Boss

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He comes in and surpasses Arne Slot. A wonderful gameplan. It could have been several more for Forest and few would dispute.
