With Pentious, the initial design we see, there was a little bit of a debate internally between choosing a design that symbolizes the character, as opposed to going with an option that's very time-period accurate. We opted for creating something that just felt like it was him.”
She mentions the biggest debate over the mortal look of Pentious was his lengthy locks: “We were like, ‘No one really had long hair like that in that historical period.’ But simultaneously, we think the silhouette is so important, and we also just thought he looked good. We were like, ‘This just feels right.’ We sort of gave the excuse that he lived in seclusion, so he just allowed his hair to lengthen. So there's always a way. As we create the human versions of these personas […] it is a very enjoyable process to explore and determine. I'm excited for people to view additional of the appearances of the human versions.”
