Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was made after an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
